Through the Eyes of a Babe

 

Through My eyes this is what I see. Now tell me how do you expect me to grow and be free?

Is this generational or did it just start with me?

Can I go to school with a clear mind, and understand the need to achieve an education?

Can I come home and experience the Joys of childhood not understanding why my father's hands keep exploding?

Why is mommy's blood splatter on the floor I heard screaming and now mommies crying?

Stating that she wish she would die?

Is today the day she will be set free or will they be bury her beside me?

Should I cringe or fringe when daddy reaches for me he says that he loves me as I have heard him tell mommy time and time again?

Mommies fear is beginning to show because she can't protect me any more so I clench when she reaches for me.
